Who we are

Modifiler is an online file utility service that lets people resize, compress and convert images and PDFs. Modifiler is the operator of this website and the data controller for the information described below.

If you have any question about this policy, or want your data deleted, write to modifilersupport@gmail.com and we will respond within 5 business days.

The files you upload

Files you upload are processed to produce the output you asked for and nothing else. They are held in short-lived temporary storage for the duration of the job and are deleted immediately after the result is delivered to you.

We do not read, publish, share or sell your files. We do not use them to train machine-learning models. We do not attach them to your account history — only metadata about the job (which tool, input and output size, timestamp, success or failure) is stored so you can see your own usage and so we can detect abuse.

Account information

You can use the tools without an account. If you choose to sign in, we use Google Sign-In and receive your name, email address and profile picture. We store those, plus a first-party session cookie, so we can recognise you on your next visit and apply your free-job allowance or paid plan.

We never receive or store your Google password.

Payment information

Paid plans are processed by our payment providers: Razorpay (for customers in India) and Paddle (for all other regions). Card and bank details are entered on their hosted checkout and are never seen by or stored on our servers.

We store only what we need to grant access: the plan you bought, the provider’s subscription or transaction identifier, the amount, the currency and the status. Paddle acts as Merchant of Record for international sales and may appear on your bank statement.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use a first-party session cookie (httpOnly and secure) to keep you signed in, and local storage to remember your theme and language preference.

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages and tools people use. Analytics cookies collect usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location and device type. See our Cookie Policy for the full list.

Advertising

Modifiler is supported by advertising for visitors on the free tier and for users of the one-time 10-Hour Pass. Subscribers on any weekly, monthly, 6-month or annual plan see no advertising at all.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings at google.com/settings/ads, or opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info. Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA and the UK), we ask for your consent before advertising or analytics cookies are set.

Legal bases and your rights

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (delivering the tool you asked for and your plan), legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, aggregate analytics), and consent (advertising and analytics cookies where consent is required).

You have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to object to processing and to withdraw consent at any time. California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected and to ask that it not be sold — we do not sell personal information. Data retention

Uploaded files: deleted immediately after processing. Job metadata: retained while your account exists. Account data: retained until you ask us to delete it. Payment records: retained as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Children

Modifiler is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets that age) and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes and contact

If we change this policy materially we will update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, show a notice on the site.
